FEATURED: Every-Damn-Thang!
Well, I said I'd have a big, honkin' post to catch up on all the coolness I've recently come across and here it is. I'll keep it all as short & sweet as I'm able.
First up, Canimal has a load of new tees for guys, my favorite of which is this; the Domokun baseball tee. As with many of her other tees, the shading & fading is fantastic and looks like something you can (and did) live in. And who doesn't love Domokun!?
I've paired it up with the "freshly laundered" jeans from Civvies in blue. You all already know how much I love Civvies, but I think their jeans, in all their myriad forms, have become my absolute faves.
I've also added the "Heartbreaker" necklace from Goth1c0, which I find myself to be wearing a lot these days.
While this outfit really cries out for a pair of sneaks, I couldn't resist throwing on the "Old Shoe" from Shiny Things because they just look great.
Next up, Jesseaitui Petion of Renown brings the shexy again with the fully unbuttoned oxford, shown here in black. The texture is just sheer enough, and as usual, the body-conscious shading really brings your manly physique to the fore. This one comes in several different colors, and all of them look great. How does he manage to make an unbuttoned shirt look so elegant?!
A sleek shirt calls for a sleek pair of jeans, so I threw on Last Call's jeans from the "Fastidious" outfit. Something about that velvety texture just looks right with this.
The shoes, again, are from Shiny Things, flare oxfords in black. Look great with casual and dressy, and I love that understated matte finish.
Pictured also is my favorite watch the "Nightstalker" from Steinwerk. It's chunky, but not clunky, and, for whatever it's worth, keeps perfect time. :-) And no lady-killer outfit would be complete without the Mudflap Girl! Though you can't see it; that's Last Call's "Salacious" pendant 'round my neck, which features some amazingly tiny prims.
Truth Hawks of "Truth" does it again with a killer new set of polos. Had to get this one called "Beware" in blue metal because I am a sucker for anything with skulls on it. I also can't forget to mention that Truth has started offering shirts on the jacket and shirt layer, with the tail length on the underwear layer! W00t, indeed. Can't wait to try pairing these up with his excellent, eccentrically worn blazer in "storm" (not shown).
Speaking of skulls, I'm also wearing Truth's great raw distressed denim in black. Though you can't see it, there's a skull on the ass pocket, so if people don't know you're trouble when they see you coming, the certainly will when they see you going! ;-)
I added in the color-change chain-wallet belt from Back & Forth. Been there yet? They don't have much, but what they do have is pretty freakin' slick. More on Back & Forth in another post.
Finally; the Bottle Cap Keepsake necklace from Gritty Kitty rounds this one out. Mine features a snap of my shexy and amazing friend Antimony, who excepting the first post, has been conspicuously absent from this blog. This blog, which is, by the way, in dire need of a woman's touch! She has an excuse for Saturday, as we spent the day kiting around to various locations and taking lovely-dovey pictures to upload to my new favorite thang slpics.com, but she better get the lead out!
Last but certainly not least is Nex Brannan's contribution to the Relay for Life fund raiser going on in Second Life. This is the Brutal Gear "Highwayman" jacket in brown. The jacket has been available for some time in various incarnations in black, so this one's a special edition for RFL. If you've never seen Brutal Gear's "Highwayman" jackets, you should check them out. The seamlessly textured prim detailing (belt, shoulder tabs, shoulder spikes, sleeves) is what sets them apart, and seems to be Nex Brannan's signature thing (note the rolled sleeves on his mechanic shirts, another of my wardrobe staples).
Also pictured is the Renegade tank in "dark" and the Civvies jeans again in "grease monkey", because I can't imagine wearing anything from Brutal Gear without them (go to the BG flagship store & you'll see why).
Finally, E. Spengler does it again with another kickass pair of shoes. These are the buckle shoes in tobacco, and though they are not as roughed-up as maybe they should be to go with the jacket, the color was a dead-on match. Incidentally, I'm wearing another pair of E. Spenglers in the above picture, which I drooled about at length in a previous post.
Well, and that about brings us up to date. Sure I have tons more shoppy-goodness that I look forward to telling you all about, those were the really urgent (read: topical-ish) ones. The past few weeks have really lightened up the old wallet, so if you see me around, remember: will work for clothes! (heh!)

FEATURED: Civvies F***ing Rules.
All of my favorite designers seem to have come out with a ton of great things in the past couple of weeks, all of which I'm dying to blog about. (soon!) I have an impressive backlog of snapshots awaiting their place in the sun. But this couldn't wait a moment longer.
Civvies, "Road Agent" coat. What the hell can I say about this chunk of artful construction that it doesn't already say for itself? It's devastating. From the long, flowing flexi drape to the buckled prim sleeves and belt right up to that face-obscuring collar. I am totally in love.
If you're looking to cut a mysterious, dashing, and tantalizingly unsettling figure, this is the man for the job. I've been known to change outfits 2 or 3 times a session, but I think someone is going to have to tackle me and rip this one off of me. Damn, it's good. Posy Trudeau you are a friggin' genius.
Another thing I'd like to mention is the shoes. They're the Steel Toe Buckle Shoes from E. Spengler Footwear and they are incredibly well done. This picture doesn't do them justice, and frankly, I don't yet have a pose that will, but drop by the store on Main St. in Keiss (211, 102, 53) and have a look for yourself. There are precious few things on offer at present time, but I'm seriously hoping that changes because the designs are fantastic.
That's not all, but it's all for now. Tune in next time when I spend the entire weekend blogging about clothes! Heh.

FEATURED: Renown's Premier Skins
Back in February, when Jesseaitui Petion released his Premier skins, I couldn't TP my ass down there fast enough to pick them up. While this behavior is inadvisable, I bought the skin outright without even a demo. I never for a second regretted it.
While I love ND's Dante skin, the eyeliner didn't quite have enough oomph for my taste. Jesse's skin turned out to be just what the doctor ordered, in many ways.
Not only is there enough smudgy smokiness in the eyes to make even the shyest gazes utterly X-rated, the body hair, shading and muscle definition is astounding. Jesse offers three body hair options, but the "just right" version turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.
I can also say without a trace of vanity that the response to this skin has been loads of fun, and I owe it all to Jesse! Everywhere I went I was practically (and on one occasion, literally) mauled. Everyone wanted to know where I got it, and I found myself showered unabashedly with compliments. These skins are quite a shot in the arm, to say the least!
Trouble is, now I was hooked! Like a junkie I returned to the Renown store on a nearly daily basis looking for the promised eyeshadow skins. The in-store ads taunted me with the legend "coming soon..." but it couldn't be soon enough for me. I swear I almost mugged the go-go dancing store model at one point!
Thankfully, that flavor of ignominy was avoided when I finally got my hands on them last night. This is the new red eyeshadow specialty skin, and I hope my hair isn't covering it up too much. That's Tami McCoy's "Dangerous" hair, by the way, and I have it in every crazy color. One for every day of the week, actually, and I'll be engineering outfits to trot every damn one of them out, you'll see!
Bottom line: every bit worth the wait.
But wait! There's more! When I IMed Jesse to tell him how much the red eyeshadow rawked, I mentioned offhandedly that I'd love to see something similar in silver. Imagine my surprise when about an hour later he IMed me back asking me to try on "Ice", fresh from the Renown oven! Unexpected? Yes. Every bit as good as we've come to expect from Jesseaitui Petion? You bet your marvellously hand-drawn ass!
So, kudos, Jesse, for not only rocking my world, but GLAM rocking it. I'm a sucker for anything Bowie-esque, but never dreamed I'd see such a perfect fit in-world.
Oh, and speaking of perfect fit, I can't let Jesse's new Boxer Briefs (top pic) slip by without a nod. Again, it was a case of me rushing to Renown immediately after getting the announcement and snapping up the fat pack, but holy package, Batman, again the response is totally over-the-top! The store was jammed with dudes walking around in their newly acquired underwear, which was surreal and strangely amusing. Jesse said that he found the reaction totally unexpected, and I think its clear why. These things make you look...blessed to say the least. I also think that, like the Premier skin, it's another instance of "nothing else like it on the grid".
So again, good on ya' Jesseaitui Petion! You're a true original. While the skins may not be for every shape (don't be like me - try on the demo!), those it does suit are down for life. As for everybody else? Stop by the Renown store NOW and check out Jesse's impressive selection of sexy wardrobe options. You're sure to find a tee, henley, button-down, or hell; a really killer pair of boxer briefs to suit your style.

The First Post - Broder
Hey shopaholics, I'm Broder. (Group says in unison: "Hi Broder") and I'm a shopaholic (Group claps), and I'm here to share with you my random knowledge of what to wear and what to burn on sight. But until that time, a simple "What are you wearing?" post will suffice for my debut.
Civvies Green Henley:
Civvies rocks! Go there now, Posy's stuff is great.
Form 010b Jeans:
Yeah, Form jeans. Gotta be the nicest looking ones out there... only way to travel, low rise of course.
Civvies Patched Workboot (in Grey)
More Civvies stuff :3 Love these boots... sorry about the bad picture... but yeah, they're shabby looking patched workboots, as the name may suggest.
Satchel and Grenades by Penny Patton ( Happy Bivouac ):
Originally a shoulder satchel bag and a pair of hip grenades, I combined the two to make a super satchel belt... its been called a fanny pack by some, but they all received a punch for those comments.
Emi Hair by Kin Keiko ( Kin ):
Again an edited item. Used to be very long, but I shortened it and played with the fringe a bit.
Kin's hair, originally for women, is generally regarded as the place to pick up some kitty strands ,
for both genders.
Stay in touch for more randomness and findings... and occasional creations if you're lucky too ;)

Featured: Last Call's Seul Quilted Vest
I know everyone has blogged about it already, but this is my take on it. I'd have posted this last night, but Blogger was being a right bitch and wouldn't let me upload any images. Kind of hard to convey this outfit using interpretive f**king dance, y'know?
Anyway, ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out.
Featured is Last Call's Seul Quilted Vest in "Steel". Texturally this is a piece of art. You can almost hear that annoying plasticky swish that comes with clothes made of this material when you walk. It comes with or without a white tee underneath, and as you see, I've opted for the without-look for a few reasons. Well, one, actually; the Renegade crew knit tee in olive.
Designers, take note: what makes this tee (and several of the other shirts at Renegade) awesome are the options. They come on a jacket layer, like most well-tailored tees in SL, but then that eliminates the ability to wear a jacket with it doesn't it? However, Kaejo DaSilva has done something brilliant: included an optional shirt-layer tee with the extra length stashed on the underwear layer! And believe me, these shirts are good enough to go commando for! Ideally, I'd wish for every shirt in SL to have an optional jacket/shirt/undershirt layer with the tail length on the underwear layer, but that's very easy for me to say. That's a helluva lotta' work and I suspect would result in a helluva lot less shirts. In the meantime though you'll be seeing a lot more of me in Renegade's great tees, tanks, polos, and whatever the hell else I can get my filthy paws on that I can rock with jackets. Speaking of my filthy paws...
Let's talk about the Man-icure. Yes, I'm wearing black nail polish. It's from Awesome Designs, which means it's a ladies manicure, but whatever. It fits and it has a nice muted gloss and until something better comes along for the guys I'm sticking with it.
I can't forget to mention the jeans. They're from Civvies, called "grease monkey" and I am so Posy Trudeau's bitch right now. I bought out half the store as soon as it's opening was announced and I'm back like an obsessive stalker every couple of days or so looking for whatever's new. Good stuff, good stuff.
Lastly, the shoes are by Feri Beckenbauer; the men's 6 eye boots with black laces, which you'll also be seeing on me a lot as they are my de facto go-to boots. And, the scarf is the Multi Scarf from FNKY! which is scripted with color/texture/tone change that hasn't let me down yet.
So, there we have it. Not just my first fashion post, but the first fashion post on SL Shopaholics Anonymous! And it won't be the last, either. I've already got at least 4 things lined up right away that I want to talk about, and would if it wasn't nearing 2am here. Even a shopaholic has to have limits.
Cheers, kids!
